Drawing on inspiration from beautiful Bollywood colours, Coachella outfits, Eastern European fabrics with touches of Malibu beachy coolness, these 10 key pieces will transform your wardrobe into the ultimate Boho Chic Closet even Sienna Miller would be proud of.
Let's get started.....
All good BOHO wardrobes start with (at least one) maxi dress.
One stand out maxi, like our Aztec Goddess Maxi (above) which need minimal accessories and work bag or night and one simple basic maxithat works well layered up with faux fur vests, long kimonos or with a loose fit crop thrown over the top.
If maxi dresses aren't your thing, try a maxi skirt, which will let you play with the volume up top (wearing it with a fitted tank or loose fit top) as well as deciding to wear it at the hip or waist.
If there is one thing that defines a Boho Babe it's her footwear; and gladiator sandals always rank no#1.
With good reason too. Not only are they ridiculously comfortable, but they finish off almost any outfit. Also, they're never trend based, so they don't date and don't have any rules - the more studs, rivets, straps and tassels - the better!
The kimono! A favourite for all girls - all shapes and sizes!
Whether it's a block coloured kimono, lace, crochet, tasselled or covered in a gorgeous and colourful print (like above) the kimono helps tie up your look together. And ignore the rules of proportion - you can throw a kimono over a maxi dress. And you can wear a full length kimono over a short dress.
Crochet and open-weave lace are both beautiful and very bohemian.
Break the conventional rules of wearing lace 'lady like' and give it a bad ass kick. Wear it with distressed denim, a glowing tan and messy braids and top knots.
Every Boho Babe, from Sienna Miller to Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Zoe and even Nicole Richie has a pair of effortlessly cool palazzo pants.
And not just because they're holidaying. They add curves to smaller frames without swallowing them, and a larger frame looks fit and fashionable wearing them also. Usually lightweight and comfortable, they're great in summer with basic sandals or thongs, but look amazing at night also when worn with wedges and a midriff top.
If loud prints aren't for you, a simple cut in a neutral colour looks just as chic (if not more!)
Show off your curves in pieces than are ruffled, rouched or strappless and cute.
Pair it with a kaftan or kimono and don't forget your panama hat.
Yes! A thousand times yes!
Have you ever noticed how HOT Kate Moss looks in ripped denim? Yeah, the whole world has! Soooo effortlessly cool, which is what BOHO is all about - f#ck the rules, this is me!
Add a white tank & blazer or oversized knit jumper with lots of gold jewellery to complete this must have look.
Does it fit everything? Yes.
Is it slouchy? Yes.
Is it studded, tasselled or printed? YES.
That's a boho bag you need.
Here, you want a pair of shorts that can take you from a day at the beach to cocktails. So something loose fit, usually lightweight and, hopefully, high waisted. Print or plain doesn't matter, and bonus points for lace trims, crochet or ruffles.
Alternatively, Coachella printed/ripped/frayed/crocheted/whatever shorts - always a winner.
How do you show off your Summer glow? We show it off with an off the shoulder top.
Keep it breezy, loose fit and chic. An easy look is pairing it with denim and gladiator flats, but to really speak to your inner Bohemian goddess, tuck it into a flowy maxi skirt a la Alessandra Ambrosio.
